vancleave is how i always referred to brad and he rarely ever called me anything but treat .... I have to say ...  this hits much harder than losing moose ... vancleave and i competed head on in everything for as long as i can remember from ross through hood ... in every sport .... along with steve shadow across town ... vancleave was so smooth and natural in all of his athletics ... i really do not remember anything from his mouth that was negative in all of our competitions ... just pushing forward making one another better .... i know it was sad to see him at the last reunion i attended when someone had to go find him ... on the outside he still smiled although you could see the pain he hid as we spoke.   my prayers to his family for they cannot know the scars we all carry .... may he rest in peace ... i was certainly blessed to have shared so many moments in my youth with him !!!
